Our Team

All staff at Dizzy's Day Nursery have a caring and loving approach to each individual child.

Minimum ratios of staff to children;
1:3 for children aged 0-2,
1:4 for children aged 2-3 and,
1:8 for children aged 3-5 allow us to operate a key carer programme, providing each child with stable, consistent care and support.

This enables us to build an on-going relationship with both children and parents/carers enabling us to respond to individual needs.

All of our Early Years Practitioners and senior nursery staff at Dizzy's have been employed because of the qualifications they hold and the experience that they bring. Those working as nursery assistants may not hold a childcare qualification but undertake in-house training and train for a recognised childcare qualification.

Training programmes have been implemented so that staff remain informed of good practices and are given the chance to progress in their careers. Refresher courses are also available so that training such as first aid and health and safety does not become out of date.

Dizzy's Day Nursery has links with local colleges and schools with the aim of providing work experience opportunities to childcare students. All work experience students are supervised at all times and although encouraged to participate they are not given any responsibilities and are never left alone with the children. Students from 16 years upwards are police checked as part of their college courses.
