Dizzy's Day Nursery

HOT NEWS............

Next week (23rd April) we are participating in a research project for The Schools Food Trust.  Dennis - our (CRB checked) resercher will be visiting each day to collect details of the food we have provided, numbers of children and portion sizes offered and consumed by children aged 1-4 years.  Please be assured that they will not be collecting or recording any children's details, just numbers of children, age group and consumption.  Full details are available from the nursery office or your child's room.  Please let us know if you have any questions or would not like your child to be included in the data collection.
We hope to gain 2 things from the research;
1) A better understanding of our own food provision and food environment for the children, and
2) Action from Ofsted to ensure that all childcare providers maintain a minimum standard of food provision for the children in their care - we work very hard to ensure that our children are very well fed, but not all nurseries are the same!

The Tree House Out of School Club is now open. We are offering before and after school sessions with a drop off and pick up service and a full holiday club that is also open for teacher training days and emergency school closures/strike days etc.

We are currently serving the following schools; New Cangle, Burton End, Clements, Hundon, Place Farm and Westfield.  To find out if we can drop off/collect from your child's school please phone or email and we'll get back to you.

Please bring us your Sainsburys & Tesco vouchers for schools, Innocent smoothie seeds and Nesle box tops for books, thank you.

If you haven't already registered or re-registered your support for us please visit http://www.havenfunfitness.co.uk/

29th July 2011 - We have started a new 'trust' library. A box of books is now situated in each nursery room for you and your children to browse through. You can take a book home on any day without joining a scheme or signing it out. Just take it home to enjoy and bring it back when you've finished. You can also swap books with us and of course we will accept any donations of books that you no longer want.

We've designed a new online survey to help collect information about how you find our service.  We would be very grateful if you would take the time to complete it and let us know if you would be prepared to share you views this way in the future.  It is very important to us that we provide the highest quality service possible both for parents and children.

FLEXIBLE - PROFESSIONAL - EXCELLENT

Children and families first

Dizzy's Day Nursery was set up in 2002 to meet the needs of local families needing good quality and reliable childcare.  In those ten years, we have become one of the best known childcare facilities in the area with a strong and commendable reputation.

The proprietor has a background in home based childcare and this is reflected in the design, resulting in a spacious, light but cosy and friendly environment.

Dizzy's Day Nursery is registered and inspected by OFSTED ensuring that we meet all of the requirements and best practice guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage.  We also help the children achieve the five 'Every Child Matters' outcomes of staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution, and achieving economic well-being.

We are very proud to be the only day nursery in Haverhill to have an Early Years Professional to lead the team and the only nursery to have been awarded the Suffolk Quality Assurance Award with Investors in Children Status.

Our commitment, passion and dedication to our teams professional development is unrivalled. This enriches the care and learning we are able to offer the children as they embark on their learning journeys with us.

We are members of the National Day Nurseries Association.
